Prosecutor and legal officer, PC Sheldon Salazar, objected to bail saying Hosein has a pending matter in which she was charged with having a firearm. He also objected based on the nature and seriousness of the alleged offence. Salazar told the court that while on bail for the previous charge, it is alleged she committed another.

The charge alleged that police found Ramcharitar, 37, near Range Resources on Quinam Road with multiple stabs. His throat was also cut. He walked from the beach to the area seeking help and someone contacted police
The injured man was taken to the Siparia District Health Facility and later transferred to San Fernando General Hospital. The charge alleged that the victim later told police his girlfriend picked him up in Princes Town and drove to the beach. After eating a meal together, he said she attacked him for no reason
Yesterday, Ramcharitar positively identified the accused during an identification parade held in the South Western Division
Sgt Jaggernath of the Siparia CID supervised investigations and PC Titus laid the charge
The magistrate today denied bail, remained Hosein into custody at the hospital for an evaluation and adjourned the case to May 29.
